Did you know there was a 4 door Thunderbird, with rear suicide doors. Crazy. and weird. and the big C pillar makes it look coupe-ish. I just found one on CL. weird.

The artist formerly known as Prince had a pink one. Went to high school with guy that had a 2dr 67 one of those with the 390. Kind of boaty - but would eat up highway at 80 quite nicely.

Sure did. Strange how it went from small 2-seat sports car to enormous luxobarge sedan in just 12 years.

This one makes my brain hurt.
Landau bars without a vinyl top ?
...and to answer the original question, I did in fact...a fellow down the street from the house I grew up in had one.

Yeah it is. Ford was like “We’re going to compete with the Corvette but go slightly upmarket.” Then when that failed they were like “Screw it do what we always do, make it biggger, and make it look more like a jet car.” The early 60 T-bird did have one gorgeous interior tho. I love wrap around dashes and this is one of the best.
